STOP IT!

I want to thank everyone who voted for my picture in the Nikon photo contest! Thanks to you, I won first place! Now, I know I promised I'd do something special, and I had intended to make all my photos available as prints, but it turns out that if I actually sell one, my camera I used to take that picture is no longer insured by my homeowners insurance, which would leave me royally screwed if something were to happen to them. Sorry.

I am determined to do something, though. Give me some ideas, and I'll see what's up.

So I was going about my business, checking my email as usual, when I got this message from Nikon telling me that I'm a finalist in their Moving Moments photo contest. I freaked out. It's up to you guys, though, my adoring legion of fans, to help me win! If you'd be so kind as to go to this link:

Um...yeah. The title says it all. Expect new things soon?

"Veracity in what?" you may ask. Or not. Who cares. The veracity is that I suck at Illustrator. A lot. I'm determined to learn it, though, as I learned Photoshop over all those years of trial and error and swearing and spitting at my monitor. I've recently acquired CS3, and, if I'm successful in installing it, successful in learning the basics, and successful in life, then I might try incorporating some vector art into my sparsely posted photography. "Why the title? Why use such an obscure word that nobody ever really uses in conversation?" you may also ask. Or not. The answer is simple: I really like alliteration. A lot.
